Taipei 101 , which was opened on December 31, 2004, is located in the Xinyi Business District, close to the Taipei City Government and is also an emerging financial building in the Taipei region. It is a large-scale BOT that the government rewards private investment after the Taiwan High Speed Rail case. The development case was jointly funded by twelve Taiwanese banks and industrial sectors. The construction cost was over NT$58 billion. It was designed and supervised by the famous architect Li Zuyuan. Taipei 101 used the bottom group building as a shopping mall. Taipei’s financial and commercial center, Taiwan’s stock exchange also migrated here.
The Taipei 101 area of 9,159 tsubos is a major breakthrough in the history of Taiwan's engineering. At that time, the “Discovery Building Wonders” program also took a photo shoot on the ground.
